Guys:
I am not sure if the PM and email from IV is working. I sent out 4-5 PM and emails to various members from MI and I have not got a single reply. Also I still have not got an email from Sanjay or Varsha. Also breddy2000's email also was not received.......I am not sure if something is down.
Please advise what is needed, otherwise I have a very crazy schedule next week and I will not be able to do anything.

just FYI..sanjose rally which i also attended and flower campaign( IV members and supporters) was the main and only reason why government change the july visa bulletin by accepting application till august 17th.Luckily i was able to file in that period. I got my reciepts but still waiting for finger printing notice and all and I know if we will not do anything final GC will take another 10 years...so please keep doing this and participating when you can and hats off immigration voice

I am in similar situation, I have already changed my job after 180 days of filing my 485 (140 approved) and working with a small consulting company. Currently where I am working client willing to hire me as a fulltime employee with the same titile and giving me the supporting letter with the same job duties mentioned in my LC (I have added few more technologies it).
Even my attorney says the same, no need to inform CIS - when we get the RFE we will see.
Can you kindly let me know all the documents I need to gather and what I need to request from new employer in order to submit AC21 bunch to CIS.
Here are job discriptions with titles.
Old Employer.
Title: Computer Systems Analyst.
Analyze systems requirements, procedures & problems to automate process. Write description of user needs, program functions & steps to develop and modify systems. Note: These details may be true. Last month we had heard such information but not in detail and thus had not posted it. We were hoping to get this news within 6-8 weeks (As per oour note on http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14749). There are efforts to make name checks current and that is good news for everyone waiting for several years in the namecheck blackhole. It will also help recent applicants who might be getting into this problem.

u can easily get an affadavit from someone with a business that says u worked there for a period of x days while ur h1 was with yyy company... that puts u into an illegal category too.
i m growing some tomatoes this summer....maybe i can get additional points if i grow them for 100 days every year and then after another 5 yrs i can get some more points in the new merit based system

My manager surprised me today saying that I was promoted yesterday from a programmer analyst to a systems analyst. I have an approved i-140 and have filed my 485. My priority date for EB3 is current. I also have a 3 year extension of H1B.
There is no change in the job responsibilities.
Question:
1. How soon should I file my AC21 request?
2. What is the impact of this promotion on my H1B?
3. I have waited for 7 years and I may be close to getting my Green Card. How does the AC 21 impact my pending 485?
I declined my promotion. My manager said that it would take a lot of effort to unwind this promotion. He was not pleased with my request.
Any ideas?

I have one question on this for some reason if EB-2 Perm is not approved then can we still reatain the EB-3 priority date?? and the EB-3 status.??? I have a masters and 5 years of experience and same situation almost like yours.

Dear friends:
As the Past President of a PMI Chapter (PMP for the past 10 years and working in the field of Project management for the past 15 years) let me shed some light to this query.
Reasons why you should do PMP
1) If you believe you need a promotion, new job or rise the corporate ladder within the field of IT or management, take PMP.....Billing rate of PM's is $90-150/hr for consulting, full time could be from $100K-$250K. The next generation CIO's will be highly qualified PM's.
2) Job security for PMP's. The only job that will not be outsourced to India or China is that of a project manager.
3) PMP will help you get the project manager job, if you do not have one. However, become a Project Manager only if you like working with people. Trust me, if you hate politics and hate managing people, it is better for you to stay a techie. Your life will be miserable if you do not like managing people. Do something that you enjoy, rather than what you may hate. It is all about people and people management, rather than project management in the world of PMP's
4) PMP has become mandatory for all large gigs or projects. Small projects do not need PMP's and small projects do not pay well too.
5) PMP does not make you a better project manager. But PMP is needed by the industry. It is the experience that one gets from being on the field from different industries that makes one a good project manager.
I hope this should help some of you to make a decision to be a PMP or not.

Valid question but please refrain from saying AC21 to draw member attention. AC21 is not relevent for this issue. this seems to be a general job change question. Talk to your HR at either your new company or the old one.

I would think coming from MI, a state that has one of the highest unemployment, and the relief that the auto industry got - it continues to exist because of those liberal fiscal policies.
Besides, his being liberal fiscally/socially has nothing to do with our issues. He is probably the best ally for our issue in the democratic circle...

Talked to an io at neb sc.within 5 sec of me starting to talk the ffice interuppted and she apologosed for doing that and said because of huge vol of appli there is a delay in the receipt notice.i SAID I AM july 2 nd filer and she said it might be in the first week of aug..(i had said the same thing in my earlier post too after i spoke toa diff officer)..She asked to keep checking the check clearnace.

Dude, You are looking at not getting a RFE based on the pics. Not that picture people or JCPenny takes great pics and make u look like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise.

I got 2 RFE's for pictures only. Those are the only 2 RFE's till date for me.
I had real bad experience with digital pics. But there are many people who didnt have any issues. So it is all your luck.
If you have RFE, it sets u back by 2 months for the approval.
Just my 2 cents.....
My experience with Picture People was ok - fair, I guess those are fine pictures as per USCIS specifications, but nothing out of the ordinary. 14.99 for a set of 4 pictures. Set me back about $80 for 3 sets of 8 pictures.
But my own pictures came out better and are as per specifications. The question is whether to take a chance in case i missed anything or to go with Ok-Fair pictures from Picture People. decisions.. decisions... damn.. retrogression

I'm also suffering like you for years but doing a RE-FILE just for managing bad odds is not reasonable. If they reject your application - You should be able to resend it from FEDEX/USPS signature and receipt Notice even after Aug 17th.
I'm not a lawyer and i've nothing against Rajaiv Khanna but on a general i'm advising you that " Any lawyer wants their clients case get complicated and convoluted". By doing this you/we are just complicating our case and offering "Money making" potential to already Rich , Wealthy ,Cut throat Lawyers.
